Quick answers to common questions about the program.

  • Young adults ages 18–24 who live in Chicago. We especially welcome participants from Englewood, West Englewood, Auburn Gresham, and Chicago Lawn. No tech experience is required.

  • No. The program is designed for beginners. We’ll teach you from the ground up.

  • Nothing. The program is fully funded by the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority. There is no cost to you.

  • Yes. Participants who complete the program receive a completion incentive. Details are shared when you enroll.

  • 8 weeks, three days per week: Monday and Wednesday (90 minutes each) and Friday (2 hours).

  • Cohorts start at different times. When you apply, you can indicate your preferred start date. We’ll contact you with the next available cohort.

  • Cybersecurity basics, Python programming, databases, networks, and VR/AR. You’ll also get mentoring, violence prevention support, and job readiness training.

  • Yes. We focus on job readiness—resumes, interviews, and connections to employers. Many tech and security roles look for the skills you’ll build here.
